Bad Company

We have all heard the expression, "you are what you eat." Basically, whatever you put into your body is eventually going to effect your health. If you take in bad stuff it is going to effect you in a bad way. If you take in good stuff it is going to effect you in a good way. In the same way, if you hang out with bad people you will experience the effects of that bad behavior. If you hang out with good people you will experience the effects of the good behavior. You become, what you hang around with. As Christians, it is important to remember that while we live in the world we are not to become like the world. 1 Corinthians 15:33 says, "Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good ch

Talk too much

Most of us are familiar with the term, TMI, which means, too much information. Some people in sharing an event, or a story share too much information that we may not need to know. It could be something personal about themselves, or it might be something about another individual. I think it is safe to say that most of us talk when we should be listening and remain silent when we should be talking. We are sinners saved by grace, but we are still sinners. The problem with people is often dealing with other people. What should we do? What should we say? How do we deal with this Situation? Those are honest questions. And I believe the scripture is clear on how we should handle these situations. Jesus gave us a clear statement and outline in Mathew 5:44 when He said, "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you a

Don't Grow Weary

The Christian life can sometimes become tiresome. We face many challenges in our daily lives. We have obstacles that come our way. And it can sometimes become discouraging to do the right thing. We even have a number of questions that come to mind such as; why do I have to go through this? How long will this last? What are you doing God? The Apostle Paul experienced a life of difficulty as well. He was persecuted for trying to share Gods message. He was thrown into prison for His Christian life. And he was beaten for refusing to stay silent as he shared the gospel. When he was writing to the church in Galatia he told them, "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due se
