As I am writing this blog I am reminded of grass. Here in southern California we are in a consistent state of water drought. Are yards go through a period of green to brown throughout the year depending on the current water situation. Some neighbors have found a solution to the problem and it's called fake grass. It looks greener then real grass but it's fake. Proverbs 14:12 says, "There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." Every person at one time in their life has struggled with the idea that the grass is greener on the other side. When a husband has an affair with a woman who is younger then his wife it is because of this trap. When a wife decides that she has found someone better then her husband it is because of this trap. When a person decides to steal from their company or a person decides that they are no longer going to follow after Jesus. It is because they think the grass is greener on the other side. It 's a sad reality because once you get to the other side you will find that the grass is not the real thing. It has no substance, it has no nourishment, it only gives you temporary satisfaction. It's way is the way of death. The only way to true life is in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father but through Me."
