Life for every human being living on the planet is filled with brokenness. People lose loved ones to sickness, disease, and fatal accidents. Families get torn apart because of relationship problems. And marriages go through severe heartache because of devastating financial issues. What should a person do, who his hanging on by a thread? Where should a person turn when their whole world is crumbling down right before their own eyes? The Psalmist encourages by saying, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit." Psalm 34:18 The Psalmist continues by saying, "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise." Psalm 51:17 God is near to the person who has a broken heart. If you are in a season of brokenness, why not call out to God in prayer? God understands your pain. God is the one who heals the brokenhearted!
