The United States Army use to have a slogan that said, “Be all you can be,” What a great slogan. You join the arm forces and you can be all you can be. Most of us remember as a young child in grade school being asked the question, “What would you like to be when you grow up?” Some of the responses from young children would include such things as: a doctor, a policeman, a fireman, or even a pilot. When you’re young you have a clean slate and your mind has not been polluted too much. I don’t know that my response in my first-grade class room was to become a Christian or even a Pastor at that matter. Being a Christian is the ultimate gift that has been given to us. Bill Glass use to say, “A Christian is not one who withdraws but one who infiltrates.” A Christian is not someone who runs from the calling, but rather walks in it. It is being all you can be in Christ Jesus. 2 Tim 2:3, 4 says "You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier." Will you be a good soldier for Jesus Christ today?
