A Changed Life

Twenty-two years ago a young man was invited to attend a Harvest crusade at the Anaheim stadium. He was twenty years old and he didn’t really know what to expect. They began to play rock music, however the words that the musicians were singing were all about God. Then they mixed in worship type music and as he looked around most of the stadium joined in unison as if they all knew the words. He was shocked and he felt a sense of God’s presence. Then towards the end of the night a middle aged man going bald came out and began sharing a message about Jesus Christ. It was a message of hope, it was a message of love, and it was a message that spoke directly to the heart of the listeners. The minister said, “If you want to have your sin forgiven, if you want to know that when you die you’ll go to heaven come right down to this field. The young man’s heart was racing, and he felt like if he didn’t respond to the invitation it might be his last opportunity. He didn’t like the idea of going to hell; in fact he wanted to go to heaven. So he made a choice and that day he became a Christian. You know we hear stories like that all the time, “But what happens after?” What is a Christian and how should a Christian live out his new found life in Christ?” Billy Ray Cyrus said, “A lot of people think Christianity is about always being perfect. It's actually the opposite of that. It's realizing that we're all humans, and that's why God sent his Son to this earth to save people.” 2 Cor 5:17 tells us, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." Has your life been changed by Jesus Christ?
